FastSnap’s position
Most meals aren’t completely “good” or completely “bad.” They usually have one part pulling in the wrong direction. Find that part first.
The tip is the part that changes the direction of the plate — away from your goal.
Not “everything unhealthy.” Not a moral label. One named lever — so One Move is obvious.
Common tips:
- Fries / crispy sides
- Heavy sauces and dressings
- Sugary drinks
- Second helpings / oversized mounds
- The “looks light” salad that isn’t (cheese, bacon, creamy dressing)
Tips vs Watch
Tips = changes direction hard — usually the One Move target.
Watch = size-sensitive or secondary (rice mound, bread basket) — note it; don’t always make it the call.
Same idea, different plates
Burger + fries — tip is usually the fries (worked example).
“Light” salad — tip is often the dressing or toppings, not the leaves.
Noodle bowl — tip may be the sweet drink on the side, not the whole bowl.

What FastSnap does
On a snap, the Coach’s Call often protects what’s helping and names the tip. That’s not a food lecture — it’s the shortest path to What’s next.
Name the tip. The move becomes obvious.

Sources and limitations
“Tip” is Learn / Behaviour OS language for a decision lever on the food, not a judgment of your body. Naming a tip makes the next move visible — it doesn’t guarantee outcomes by itself.
What FastSnap does
When FastSnap names a tip on your plate — fries, sauce, drink, second helping — the Coach’s Call is pointing at where One Move should land.
